Acest supliment conţine fragmente din textele scriitorilor români traduse în limbi străine. Scopul este să popularizăm şi să încurajăm şi noi, cu modestele noastre forţe, efortul traducătorilor de a-i tălmăci pe scriitorii români. Căci merită. De aceea, vrem să oferim spaţiu tuturor celor interesaţi de literatura română, o literatură care încă urmează a fi descoperită de către europeni. (Dumitru Crudu)

Textele care urmează reprezintă tot atâtea declaraţii de dragoste făcute literaturii române prin forma supremă de lectură – traducerea. Autorii traducerilor sunt foşti bursieri ai programelor Institutului Cultural Român pentru traducători în formare. Fragmentele prezentate fac parte din mapele de presă pregătite de aceşti traducători pentru a capta bunăvoinţa editorilor din ţările lor faţă de autorii şi cărţile cu care au făcut cunoştinţă în România. This supplement contains fragments from Romanian writers written in other languages.
Its purpose is to promote and encourage, with our modest endeavour, the translators’ effort in translating Romanian writers. We beleive they are worth this effort. This is why we intend to offer this space to all interested in Romanian literature, still to be discovered by Europeans. (Dumitru Crudu)

The texts bellow may just as well be regarded as declarations of love to Romanian literature, in the absolute reading fashion – translation. The authors of the translations are former students in the programmes of the Romanian Cultural Institute for training translators. The excerpts reproduced here are part of the press briefs prepared by these translators to gain the good will of editors in their countries for the authors and books that they met in Romania.
